Sustainable Design innovation: New TERRAVENTURE 22L Hiking Pack

Engineered in Germany, the TERRAVENTURE provides all-day comfort through the new AEROSHAPE carrying system that is based on increased efficiency in manufacturing, reduced material consumption and fully recycled materials. The body and base of the pack are made with recycled ripstop polyesters while the contoured back panel is made from a single material that minimizes weight and saves on resources.

An air mesh layer made with recycled polyester covers the cushioned and highly ventilated shaped panel to improve air circulation and cool the back. The design provides infinite freedom of movement, superior climate control, extra comfort on the back, shoulders, and waist.

TERRAVENTURE 22L HIKING PACK

The pack is a sustainability milestone. It is constructed entirely with recycled fibres, from the sewing thread to the webbing and the zippers. In the process, 14 1-liter bottles are upcycled per backpack. Plus the carrying system’s padding is made from algae foam. The algae used for this by BLOOMFOAM™ are particularly sustainable as a renewable raw material.

The foam obtained from them is perfect for cushioned areas thanks to its high damping properties. Extra benefit for nature: During the production of BLOOMFOAM™, water is purified from algae and returned to the natural cycle in drinking water quality.

The TERRAVENTURE pack has a 22 litre carrying capacity. An exterior pocket enables easy access to water and accessories and attachment loops on the side are ideal for carrying hiking poles. It’s finished with a padded waistbelt for extra comfort and support with heavier loads.
